Qatar and Mali held a session of official talks yesterday co-chaired by HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and President of Mali Amadou Toumani Toure. Talks covered means of enhancing bilateral relations as well as a number of issues of common interest. The meeting, held at the Emiri Diwan, was attended by a number of ministers. On the Malian side, the session was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Moctar Ouane, Minister of Environment and Sanitation Timigo Sankari, Minister of Agriculture Agatam Ag Alhassane, Minister of Mines Abu Bakar Traor, Minister of Industry, Investment and Trade Ahmadou Abdoulaye Diallo, Malian Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed Mahmoud Ben Labat and the Diplomatic Adviser to the Malian President Mamadou Troure. The Emir later hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Malian president and the accompanying delegation. In the morning President Amadou Toumani Toure was welcomed upon arrival at Doha International Airport by HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari and the Malian ambassador to Qatar. |
