Kids wield the brush

Some of the children who participated in the contest
Over 70 children from 12 different nationalities participated in Schlumberger-Qatar’s inaugural painting contest for children.
The children used crayons, pencil colours, markers and watercolours. The winning paintings will be featured on Schlumberger-Qatar’s 2010 Annual Calendar.
Schlumberger-Qatar general manager Don P Conkle said that the event is one of the company’s ways of reaching out to the families of the employees.
“This activity is our way of saying thank you to the families and children who have supported the employees who strive to deliver their best to serve the oil and gas industry in Qatar,” he explained.
Schlumberger operations manager Gagan Singhal, who conceptualised the contest, stated that the response to the contest was overwhelming.
