| A senior member of Egypt’s opposition Muslim Brotherhood, who faces charges of incitement against the government and money laundering, has been released on bail, a judicial source and his party said yesterday. Abdel Moneim Abul Futuh, a leading reformer within the Brotherhood who was arrested in June, was among 14 suspects released on bail by the state security court, the judicial source. The court demanded no financial surety. Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Akef confirmed that Abul Futuh was now at home. He had been in hospital when the court granted bail, Akef told AFP. |
