Bangladesh will host the headquarters of a counter-terrorism training institute for South Asian countries, including India, to be established by the United Nations. The government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has readily accepted the plan when visiting executive director of UN counter terrorism executive directorate (UNCTED) Mike Smith yesterday formally made the proposal to Bangladesh when he met Home Minister Sahara Khatuin. Khatuin said Smith has proposed to set up a counter-terrorism training institute in Bangladesh for Saarc region. |
