American fire-fighting expert Carts Messy delivered a lecture on “essential safety procedures and guidelines to be followed at large buildings” recently at a meeting at Civil Defence Centre at Al Azziziya.
Staff from the Civil Defence Department, Internal Security Force and safety and security officials of Pearl Qatar project attended the lecture.
He focused on definition of high rise buildings, hidden dangers in such buildings, and equipment used for fighting fires and necessary tools.
Director of administrative affairs of the CSD Brigadier Amaan Saad al-Sulaiti highlighted the significance of conducting lectures at a time when construction activities are at a peak.
“It is more significant as the State of Qatar is still witnessing a construction boom, in particular those of tall and large buildings,” he said.
Later, the American expert and participants visited Pearl Qatar and conducted a “mock” session in one of the buildings there. |
