Meeting with Turkish envoy
HE the Deputy Premier, Minister of Energy and Industry Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah  holding talks with the outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Qatar Mithat Rende on the occasion of the expiry of his tour of duty. Talks during the meeting held at the Qatar Petroleum Headquarters covered bilateral relations. The ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the co-operation accorded to him
during his tour of duty which contributed to enhancing the relations between Turkey and Qatar.

National Day greetings sent
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani have sent congratulatory cables to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on his country’s National Day.

Al-Attiyah meets Singapore envoy
HE the Deputy Premier, Minister of Energy and Industry Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah yesterday received the Charge d’Affaires of Singapore Umej Bhatia. Talks covered bilateral relations and means to enhance them, mainly in the energy and industry sector.
HE al-Attiyah also met Maizar Harman, member of the board of commissioner, Pertamina, the Indonesian state owned oil company and former Opec governor for Indonesia. Talks during the meeting covered co-operation between Qatar Petroleum and Pertamina in the energy sector. The meeting was attended by Ali al-Hammadi, Tasweeq Manager, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed al-Malki, director of office of Deputy Premier and a number of QP senior officers, in addition to the Charge d’Affaires of the Indonesian embassy in Doha, Andang P Sosodoro.

Qatar attends OIC meeting
Qatar took part in the emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) at the Ministerial Level which was held in Jeddah yesterday.
The meeting discussed the continuing violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem (Al-Quds).
HE the Assistant Foreign Minister Saif bin Muqaddam al-Buainain headed the Qatari delegation to the meeting. 

Meeting with Korean minister
HE the Minister of Public Health and Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Health Abdullah bin Khalid al-Qahtani yesterday met South Korea’s Vice-Minister of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs Young Hak Yoo and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed the co-operation in the field of health between Qatar and Korea and ways of enhancing it, as well as issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by Korean Ambassador to Qatar Chang See-Jeong and a number of senior officials at the Supreme Council of Health.
The delegation accompanying the Korean vice-health minister includes representatives of health institutions, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies.
