Doha: Qatar has strongly condemned the storming of the Al Aqsa Mosque by Israeli occupation forces and the use of force and violence  against  worshippers.
An official source at the Foreign Ministry told QNA that the attacks were in violation of international conventions and a breach of international and humanitarian law and an attempt by Israel to drag the region into a spiral of violence to implement its plans to eliminate any chance of achieving peace in the region.
The source called on the international community to take immediate measures to protect the Islamic holy sites from these attacks and to achieve security and stability in the region.
The source reiterated Qatar’s support to the Palestinian people in their just struggle for their legitimate rights, including the right to self-determination and to establish their independent state on their national soil with Al Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital. - QNA
