Riyadh: HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani met yesterday the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud at the latter’s farm at Jenadriyah, in Riyadh. Talks dealt with bilateral relations and means of promoting and developing them in all areas, in addition to regional and international issues of common concern. The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, HE the Chief of the Emiri Protocols, Sheikh Mohamed bin Fahd al-Thani, HE the Chairman of Qatar Foundation for Information Sheikh Hamad bin Thamir al-Thani, HE the Minister of State Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani, HE the Chief of the Emiri Diwan Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Saud al-Thani, HE the Secretary of the Emir for Follow-Up Affairs Saad bin Mohamed al-Rumaihi, HE the Office Director of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Eid al-Sulaiti, and Qatar’s Ambassador to the Saudi Arabia Ali bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud. While attending the meeting on the Saudi side were Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, the Acting Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Saud al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohamed al-Saud, the Education Minister, Prince Mit’ab bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Chief of the National Guard for Executive Affairs, Prince Mohamed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Assistant Interior Minister for Security Affairs and Ahmed bin Ali al-Qahtani, the Saudi Ambassador to Qatar. Later the Emir attended a banquet hosted in his honour and the accompanying delegation by the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques. The Emir returned to Doha yesterday evening from Riyadh, concluding a short visit to Saudi Arabia. - QNA |
