Doha: HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani held talks with the visiting Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina yesterday at the Emiri Diwan. Talks dealt with bilateral co-operation and a set of regional and international issues of common concern. The meeting was attended, among others, by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani, HE Abdullah bin Mubarak bin Aaboud al-Midhadhi, the Minister of Environment, HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, the Minister of State for International Co-operation who is also Acting Minister of Business and Trade and HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the director of the office of HH the Emir. While attending the meeting on the Bangladeshi side were Dr Dipu Moni, the Foreign Minister, Dr Hassan Mahmoud, the Minister of State for Environment, Abdul Moamin Talu, the committee chairman of the Ministry of Environment and Mohammed Megaroul, the secretary of Foreign Relations and Mohamed Shahadat Hussein, the Bangladesh Ambassador to Qatar. Later Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the Education City of Qatar Foundation. She was received by Qatar Foundation president Dr Mohamed Fathy Saud and vice-president for Research Affairs Dr Abdelali Haoudi. Sheikh Hasina was introduced to the utilities of Qatar Foundation and the current and future projects of Education City. She also visited one of the universities at the Education City. - QNA |
