| UN University for Peace rector John J Maresca has praised Qatar’s strides in education and in global diplomacy, praising the support given to the institution by HH Sheikha Mozah Nasser al-Misnad. At a function held at the United Nations, Maresca presented Nassir bin Abdulaziz al-Nasser, Qatar’s permanent delegate to the UN, with a certificate of appreciation from the university in recognition of Qatar’s role in supporting the university. The university, established by the General Assembly in 1980, has its headquarters in Costa Rica. |
