HE Sheikh Juan bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, representing HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, yesterday attended the Qatari-Syrian camel racing, staged at the Tadmur race track as part of the activities of the Tadmur Cultural Festival 2009. The event was also attended by HE Hamad bin Khalifa al-Attiyah, the special adviser to HH the Heir Apparent, Syrian Tourism Minister Dr Saadallah Agha, governor of Homs province Dr Eyad Ghazal, and Qatar’s Ambassador to Syria Majed Ghanem al-Ali. Also yesterday, Sheikh Juan paid a visit to the Qatari-Syrian Cultural Tent. He was briefed about the Qatari-Syrian heritage and handicraft. He also attended a concerto performed by a number of Qatari singers, held at the Roman Theatre.
