The ordeal the sorcerer has to go through to be accepted by Devil

TO ESTABLISH a relationship with the devils, the sorcerer has to go through a great ordeal. Ibn al-Quayim al-Jawzyiah described this relationship saying: “The more the sorcerer disbelieves and feels animosity towards Allah, His Prophet, and the believers, the stronger and more powerful his magic becomes. For this reason, the magic of those who worship idols is stronger than the magic of the People of the Book, and the magic of the Jews is stronger than the magic of those who pretend to be Muslims.
There is no doubt that the sorcerer has to submit to the Devil, and worship him, to obtain the magic power he seeks. Satan has put forth certain rituals which the  sorcerer has to perform. All these rituals share a common feature: They ascertain the disbelief of the sorcerer, bring forth the wrath of Allah, and please Satan. But before being accepted by the Devil, the sorcerer has to fulfil certain conditions:
1-The sorcerer should be prepared to sell his soul to the Devil, that is the price he has to pay, as Allah said: “And vile was the price for which they (the sorcerers) did sell their soul, if they but knew!” (Qur’an 2:102). And the one who has sold his soul to the Devil has dispossessed himself of all moral values.
2-The sorcerer has to oppose and be hostile to all the religions, and defiles religious rites. He has not only to disbelieve in all the revelations sent down to man, but express his hatred to the Noble Qur’an by tearing and burning it, and using it in unfit manners, while he is glorifying the Devil or the stars, or even certain animals that he believes are the reincarnation of the Devil. Ibn Taymyiah said: “Sorcerers often write the name of Allah with impurities, such as blood, or they write words that please Satan, or speak such words.”
3-He should abandon cleanliness, and live in filthy places. He would spend his time away from the company of other people, and in deserted places, cemeteries and ruins, which are the dwellings of the jinn, and should not come out to people unless they ask for his services. Ibn Taymyiah described this, saying: “They (the sorcerers) do not perform ablution, and are always in the company of dogs (also toads, mice...), roaming in the cemeteries or garbage dumps or other filthy places. They eat snakes, scorpions, wasps, and drink urine and blood and other impurities that the Devil likes. They hate to hear the Qur’an and prefer music and satanic songs.” In medieval Europe, witches frequently confessed to flying to the sabbat, a nightly meeting of witches and warlocks with the devils. They uttered magic spells, and rubbed themselves with flying ointment that contained among other impurities, bat’s blood, soot, and baby’s fat obtained from boiled children.
4-Finally, he should be always willing to commit serious offences and the most ruthless and despicable acts as commanded by the Devil. Sorcerers would often sit naked in deserted places, slaughter birds and other animals as offerings to Satan. They would mix blood with wine and ground dry meat  from the corpse of dead animals, then drink this mixture from the skull of a dead animal. During their meetings, and at the height of the ceremonial rituals, the most despicable crimes are performed by the sorcerers, involving slaughtering children and unbridled sexual orgies, where sodomy is often practised.
Having fulfilled these conditions, the magician trains himself to gradually enter this new life. He immerses himself in handbooks of magic, that would show him the way to realise a union with the Devil, who would help him acquire magic powers. The way to realise this union is through a pact he has to sign with the Devil. Although a pact between a person and the Devil or one of his henchmen may vary in detail, it always includes:
*Preparation for the pact through a specific type of exercise, abstinence from certain foods, minimal sleep, and avoiding to clean the body.
*An invocation of the Devil. For this the sorcerer goes to a lonely, deserted place on a night of full moon, around midnight, and performs certain acts that the Devil likes. He might take off all his clothes, and prostrate to Satan. He may invoke the Devil by reciting incantations containing words that glorify him.
*A complex set of formulas and acts. The sorcerer draws a circle around himself on which he writes complicated symbols and formulas. He may bring with him an animal such as a dog, or a pig or a mouse, which he slaughters as a sacrifice to Satan.
*The appearance of the Devil, and signing of the pact with an impurity. Menstrual blood is often used for this occasion. Upon signing the pact, the sorcerer promises to be the servant of Satan whom he worships and obeys. Then Satan fixes a date to baptise him. All the sorcerers of the region are assembled and during the ceremony, the sorcerer is subject to all kinds of humiliations. He is beaten, forced to eat unclean and rotten food, and undergoes all forms of sexual aberrations including sodomy.
Afterwards, the sorcerer can attend special meetings held on certain evenings each year, where witches, warlocks, necromancers, and sorcerers gather in dark forests, secluded caves or abandoned ruins, to celebrate their devotion to the infernal demons, indulging in frenzied orgies, back to to back dancing in the dark, demonic conjurations, and obscene sacrifices. Having committed these and similar abominable acts, they proceed to still other infamies.
What does the magician get in exchange for all these humiliations? He gets the help of Satan, who gives him power to harm others by way of magic acts. Glorified is Allah Who said: “And vile was the price for which they did sell their souls, if they but knew!” (Qur’an 2:102)
