High-level talks
HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani holding talks with Maxime Verhagen, the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands. They reviewed bilateral relations and issues of common concern. The meeting was attended, among others, by HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud and Dutch Ambassador to Qatar Johannes Gerardus van Vloten.

HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani holding talks with the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands Maxime Verhagen. Talks dealt with bilateral relations and issues of common concern.

Emir receives verbal message from king of Morocco
HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani has received a verbal message from King Mohamed VI of Morocco pertaining to bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern. The letter was received by HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani when he received Prince Moulay Ismail and his accompanying delegation at his Emiri Diwan office yesterday. The meeting was attended by Director of HH the Heir Apparent’s Office HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Ibrahim Abdulaziz al-Sahlawi and Moroccan Ambassador to Qatar Abdulazeem Altaber.  

Indian envoy calls on Deputy Emir
HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received at his Emiri Diwan Office yesterday Indian Ambassador to Qatar Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa. HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent wished the Indian ambassador success in her new mission and the relations between Qatar and India further development and growth.

Deputy Emir issues decrees
HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued the following decrees:
A. Decree No 19 of 2009 ratifying the Protocol of Amendments to the Convention on the International Hydrographic Organisation, adopted by the Third Extraordinary International Hydrographic Conference, held in Monaco from April 11 to 15, 2005.
B. Decree Number 20 of 2009 ratifying  the economic, trade and technical co-operation agreement between the governments of Qatar and Tajikistan, signed in Doha on 5.6. 2007.
C. Decree Number 21 of 2009 ratifying an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and profits gained from international air transport signed in Doha between the governments of Qatar and the Swiss Confederation on 30.11.2008.
The three decrees shall have the power of law according to Article 68 of the Constitution and are to be effective from the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.

Instrument of ratification
HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued an instrument ratifying a draft agreement between the governments of Qatar and Vietnam on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of financial evasion on the income tax signed in Doha on March 8, 2009.
