SUDANESE Minister for International Co-operation Tijani Fedial has hailed Qatar’s initiative to solve the Darfur problem, praising the efforts being exerted by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani in this regard.
Following the meeting between the Emir and the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir yesterday, the Sudanese Minister said in a statement to QNA that President Bashir had reaffirmed his full confidence in the Qatari initiative and expressed the Sudanese government’s readiness to exert all efforts to achieve peace in Darfur as soon as possible.
The Minister said President Bashir also briefed the Emir on the efforts made by the Sudanese government recently aimed at reaching a joint strategy by all Sudanese political powers to make the climate favourable for realising peace in Darfur.   - QNA
