A gala dinner was held in Houston at the weekend in honour of Qatar which took part in the Consular Forum 2008 in the US city.
Besides a film which highlighted Qatar’s social and economic achievements, a cultural programme of dance and music was also held. Houston Mayor Bill White was the chief guest. More than 500 guests including Harris County judge Ed Emmet and former US ambassador to Qatar, Chase Untermeyer took part.
