MOHAMED Azhar Yaaqoub has won a BMW Z4 M Roadster in the BMW raffle sponsored by Alfardan Automobiles. The draw was held after the Commercialbank MotoGP concluded on Sunday.
Alfardan Automobiles, exclusive importer of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce as well as Ducati and KTM motorcycles, organised the raffle in collaboration with the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF).
The other winners are Augus Erwin Socerdi, who won a KTM motorcycle, and Wayne Porteous, who won a Ducati sport bike.
“This is a dream come true. I came here to watch an exciting race, and now I’ve won a Z4 M Roadster. I’m very grateful to Alfardan BMW for sponsoring the raffle,” said Yaaqoub.
Every visitor who purchased a ticket to the grandstands at Losail, where the race was held, was automatically entered in the draw. The winners were picked by lottery after the races were done for the day.
“My congratulations to Casey Stoner and Ducati on pulling off a convincing victory in the first round of the MotoGP here in Qatar,” said Omar Alfardan, president of Alfardan Automibles.
“As exclusive representatives of Ducati in Qatar, we were naturally thrilled to see Stoner win the race. We also congratulate the winners of the BMW Z4 M Roadster, the KTM and Ducati motorcycles in the Alfardan Automobiles Raffle,” he added.
Alfardan Automobiles have been official partners of the QMMF since MotoGP racing was introduced in Qatar 5 years ago, and BMW has been the official car for the duration.

“We took it upon ourselves to make this year’s race more exciting than ever for the fans who came to see the race, and so we organised the raffle with fabulous prizes including a Z4 M Roadster. Alfardan Automobiles were also present in the grandstands at Losail with an exhibition of several BMW cars and motorcycles as well as BMW accessories and lifestyle products.
Alfardan Automobiles also delivered a fleet of BMW cars which were used as VIP transport, medical, shuttle and media transport, as well as for race direction at the Losail Circuit for the Commercialbank MotoGP Championship. |
