MCDONALD’S Qatar employee Salinda de Silva has been awarded the President’s Award, the highest honour McDonald’s Corporation bestows on an employee.
AlMana Restaurants & Food Company is the franchisee of McDonald’s in Qatar.
At a ceremony held recently in Chicago, McDonald’s Corporation CEO Jim Skinner and president and chief operating officer Ralph Alvarez presented the award to De Silva, who is assistant general manager (finance, administration and marketing) of McDonald’s Qatar.
De Silva was among the first seven candidates in the Middle East zone ever to receive the highest honour of the corporation.
“It has been McDonald’s tradition to award and recognise the performance of the top one percent of McDonald’s employees,” said Kamal S Almana, managing director of AlMana Restaurants & Food Company.
“Salinda de Silva was selected on the basis of his contributions to support our business and our brand,” he said. |
