DOHA: Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) has won three awards at the 7th Arab Plastic & Rubber Industry Show (Arabplast) concluded in Dubai recently.
Qapco won prizes for the best stand design, largest exhibitor and for sponsorship of Arabplast.
The awards were received by senior Qapco executives, Ibrahim al-Mulla, Mohamed Jassim al-Na’ama, and Amin al-Dib at a ceremony held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, the venue of Arabplast.
Qapco’s delegation to Arabplast was led by its vice-chairman and managing director, Hamad Rashid al-Mohannadi.
The delegation comprised Mohamed Jassim al-Na’ama, public relations manager, Abdulrahman al-Abdullah, marketing manager, Ibrahim al-Mulla, director, Qapco’s commercial office in Dubai, and Yousef Darweesh Fakhro, Ahmad al-Emadi, Refti Raman, all head of regional sales.
Arabplast was inaugurated by Sheikh Hasher Maktoum al-Maktoum, director of Dubai Department of Information. Over 750 leading exhibitors from some 36 countries took part in the exhibition.
Sheikh Hasher visited the Qapco stand at Arabplast and lauded the company for the stand design and exhibits.
He was briefed about Qapco’s ongoing projects and future expansion plans by al-Mohannadi.
During the expo, Qapco hosted a dinner for its customers worldwide.
