AS a way to introduce students to the array of business and service opportunities in Doha, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) will host local businessmen and businesswomen as guest speakers this Fall semester.

Kicking off the series is ExxonMobil Qatar president and general manager Alex Dodds. Other guest speakers are to visit CMUQ in coming weeks.

"Carnegie Mellon has a commitment to developing its students as leaders and good citizens in their communities," said assistant dean for academic affairs, John Robertson.

Bringing in respected business professionals who are active in the community is a great way to inspire students to get involved in projects that benefit others, he explained.

Dodds will be addressing students enrolled in the Professional and Service Projects course, required for all business administration students and an elective for computer science students.
