The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has prepared a questionnaire to obtain people’s views on a number of issues related to the automobiles sector in the country.
The questionnaire is available on the MEC website (in Arabic) and those interested can participate in the initiative over three weeks.
The questionnaire is part of the MEC’s efforts to maintain constant communication with the public and obtain their opinions and views on important sectors such as automobiles, according to a statement. It will provide the ministry with a clearer picture of the interests, needs and aspirations of consumers and pave the way for better services in the future.
The questionnaire covers the most important aspects of the automobile sector to measure public satisfaction on various key issues, such as the prices of new and used vehicles, to what degree do different car dealers and showrooms offer correct information about new and used vehicles, and the areas covered by warranty, among others.
It refers to after-sales service and related issues such as maintenance, spare parts and warranty and seeks to ascertain public opinion on the cost of maintenance, quality of service and the limitations of warranty, as specified in relevant documents.
Other issues covered by the questionnaire include the extent to which car dealers inform customers about the real condition of vehicles. The MEC will gather the information and conduct an analysis with the help of specialists. After that, it will announce the findings to the public.
