Doha

The 350-metre long southbound lane of Jassim bin Hamad Street that connects the street with the westbound lane of Al Rayyan Road will be temporarily opened Wednesday, Ashghal has said.
The reopening of the street will cut journey time of the commuters accessing Al Rayyan Road through the Jassim bin Hamad Street instead of Al Rashid Street and further on through Al Yamama Street, it said.
The temporary opening is being made to ease the traffic congestion in the area and also to reduce the impact of construction work on the residential and commercial areas surrounding Al Rayyan Road.
The lane will remain open throughout the implementation period of Al Maseelah Intersection, which is an important part of the project, it said.
