Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, the president and chairman of the Board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, visited Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation on Wednesday.
The Saudi Prince along with Mohamed bin Said al-Mahri, the director general of the National Council of Tourism & Antiquities in the UAE, was received by Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager, Katara.
The dignitaries were in Doha to attend the second session of the GCC Tourism Ministers Conference. During a tour of Katara, Prince Sultan al-Saud described the Cultural Village as a distinctive cultural and touristic edifice that reflects the keenness of Qatar to enrich heritage and culture.
Dr al-Sulaiti pointed out that Katara has been attracting significant number of visitors from the other GCC countries over the years, and specifically during the traditional dhow festival and the festivals of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
In the conclusion of their visit, the dignitaries were presented with mementos.
