Qatar is the 14th safest of the 107 countries studied by ValuePenguin, a global consultancy based in New York. Qatar scored high marks in the seven data categories of population, CO2 emissions and life expectancy as well as the number, per 100,000 people, of national police personnel, traffic deaths, thefts and assaults. ValuePenguin said the study covered  107 countries . In the small population category Qatar has emerged as the sixth safest country. Switzerland is the safest country in the world, according to the study.
