Yemen’s permanent representative to the Arab League Mohamed al-Haissami has praised Qatar’s efforts to provide humanitarian support for the Yemeni people.
He lauded Qatar’s efforts to establish the air bridge for the transfer of humanitarian aid for the relief of the Yemeni people.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) the Yemeni envoy said: “We highly appreciate the generous aid provided by the State of Qatar to the Republic of Yemen to mitigate the bad humanitarian situation in Yemen”.
On the outcome of the Geneva conference on Yemen held recently,  the Yemeni ambassador said the conference had not failed to achieve the desired objectives, as it was a preliminary consultation.

Environment minister meets ICC chief

HE the Minister of Environment Ahmed Amer Mohamed al-Humaidi yesterday met Indian Cultural Centre president Girish Kumar and vice president Seenu S Pillai. The minister gave them commemorative gifts in recognition of the ICC’s contribution to the success of the awareness campaigns carried out to mark Qatar’s Environment Day. Director of Public Relations and Communication in the Ministry, Mohsen al-Khayareen said such contributions are highly appreciated as they reflect the joint co-operation with the ministry in the national campaigns for environmental awareness. He added that the Philippine and the Nepalese Communities in Doha have applied to take part in the 2016 environment awareness campaigns.
