HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi held separate meetings with Iranian Minister of Labour, Co-operatives, & Social Welfare Ali Rabiei and Namibian Minister of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Erkki Nghimtina, on the sidelines of the 104th session of the International Labour Conference, currently under way in Geneva.
Talks covered aspects of co-operation and ways of enhancing them, as well as issues of common interest in the field of labour.

Real estate transactions
The total trading value in the real estate sales contracts registered with the Land Registry Department of the Ministry of Justice last week reached QR 900mn.
According to the weekly bulletin issued by the department, the real estate sales included lands, shopping centres, houses, residential complexes and towers.
The sales were distributed at the municipalities of Doha, Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Dhakira, Al Rayyan, Al Zain, Al Wakra and Al Shamal.

Qatari leaders greet King Abdullah of Jordan

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani, and  HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to King Abdullah of Jordan on the anniversary of his accession to the throne.  

Transport Minister holds meetings in Milan
HE the Transport Minister Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti held meetings with representatives of companies operating in Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail), on the sidelines of ongoing the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) World Congress in the Italian city of Milan.

Qatar welcomes talks resumption
Qatar has welcomed the resumption of the Libyan national dialogue in the Moroccan city of Skhirat under the aegis of the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Representative Bernardino Leon.
In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties to accept the draft political agreement prepared by the UN mission to Libya, and to take part in the dialogue which aims to form a national coalition government that achieves the requirements of the Libyan people and preserves Libya’s sovereignty and its territorial integrity.  
The ministry expressed the hope that this will contribute in the formation of a secure, stable and prosperous future in Libya, especially in the light of the current challenges.
