Qatar Chamber (QC) has received a Romanian business delegation to discuss mutual co-operation in various fields.
Mihai Tudose, Romanian Minister of Economy, Trade and Tourism, headed the delegation that included 15 businesspersons and president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mihai Daraban.
The visiting delegation was received by QC board members Mohamed Ahmed al-Obaidly and Mohamed Mahdi al-Ahbabi, alongside QC
director-general Remy Rowhani.
Al-Obaily hoped that the visit would help create more business opportunities in both countries, resulting in successful joint ventures and trade partnerships between the Qatari and Romanian business communities.
He pointed out that Qatari businessmen have a strong desire to explore the investment atmosphere in Romania, particularly in the field of agriculture, on the condition that they are provided with larger plots of agricultural land and adequate facilities for potential investment.
He also expressed QC’s willingness to provide Romanian businesspersons with the necessary information, stressing that the Qatari market is open and welcomes all types of business activities.
Meanwhile, Tudose appreciated the development of the Qatari economy and welcomed mutual co-operation in different fields, such as clean energy, food industry, bottled water,
agriculture and oil and gas.
