QATAR  |  Safety
All Karwa school buses used by the Supreme Education Council (SEC) are set to be connected to satellites through GPS, a senior official told local Arabic daily Arrayah yesterday. Omar al-Shahwani al-Hajri, SEC’s director of the Joint Services Department, said an agreement would be made with a specialised company in the field to implement the new system in co-operation with Karwa.  Accordingly, parents would be able to track the buses, which their children board, through their phones. The project will be implemented soon.  He pointed out that  school buses in Qatar had the highest standards of safety and security. Parents could directly communicate with the bus drivers to address any issue of concern.
