Katara - the Cultural Village will hold the Fifth Strategic Leadership Forum tomorrow.
This comes in response to the success of previous forums in terms of representation from both the private and government sectors in Qatar and abroad, according to a statement.
Dr Khaled bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager, Katara, stressed that convening the fifth edition of the forum is an indication of the success of the event, which serves as an umbrella under which senior officials, executives and workers from the field of strategic planning meet. They learn, discuss and adopt best practices in the field pertinent to their industries.
Dr al-Sulaiti added that the forum helps replicate different experiences, learn and support State institutions and entities working in the field of strategic leadership. This is in line with Katara’s vision and the strategy launched last year and comes in response to the national strategic objectives for the cultural sector. He also noted that the forum was an important opportunity to bring together senior officials, executives and workers specialising in the strategic planning
sector in Qatar.
The senior official pointed out that the five-year strategic plan of Katara, together with such forums and exchange of expertise, has helped support the cultural movement in the foundation according to standard performance indicators. They have also encouraged the unlocking of creative capabilities and turned the Cultural Village into the right medium to foster and trigger various activities in the fields of culture, creativity and arts.
He noted the significance of the co-operation with Palladium International Group, which is a participant in the Strategic Leadership Forum, in
implementing the strategy.
Dr Khaled al-Jaber, strategic affairs consultant at Katara, said the foundation appreciates initiatives concerned with drafting and implementing strategic plans at the local, regional and global levels, adding that the forum aims to provide participants with the basic concepts of strategic planning while preparing the budget and learn about a comprehensive model for the planning process.
He confirmed the participation of Dr James Creelman, head of research at Palladium International Group and a professional trainer in the implementation of strategies, who also specialises in administrative risk management and balanced scorecards for regulating financial
services.
Other participants at the forum include senior officials, executive managers and workers from different sectors of Qatar’s economy to discuss various issues and developments in this sector.
The forum has gained much publicity locally, regionally and globally, Dr al-Jaber noted. “It is organised in conjunction with the Palladium International Group and under the supervision of David Norton and a group of international experts in the field of strategies and executive leadership. It is one of the leading companies worldwide in the field of providing assistance to institutions in creating and implementing their strategies. The executive framework for Katara will benefit from the participation and presence of its founder.”
Norton pointed to the fact that the development Qatar is witnessing at all levels has helped these forums
continue to succeed.
