The men’s graduation ceremony of Qatar University’s Class of 2015 will be graced by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on May 20 at Qatar National Convention Centre.
HH the Emir’s wife HH Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim al-Thani will grace the women’s graduation ceremony on May 21 at the same venue.
This year, the number of graduates has increased from a total of 1,269 last year (989 women and 280 men) to 1,560 (460 men and 1,100 women) who will be graduating with Bachelors, Masters, and diplomas from all colleges. This year’s batch also includes 180 outstanding students.
Commenting on the upcoming event, vice president for student affairs Dr Omar al-Ansari expressed his appreciation for HH the Emir’s visionary leadership and support for QU students.
“Congratulations to our graduates and all the very best for a fulfilling and successful future. This event reflects QU’s commitment to graduate highly-qualified students who meet the labour market’s expectations, and its ongoing mission in shaping future leaders and professionals who will actively contribute to the country’s outstanding development, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030,” he added.
