The ceremony will be held by the Supreme Education Council at Sheraton Hotel today morning.  


Ties with Spain reviewed
National Human Rights Committee Chairman Dr Ali bin Samikh al-Marri met in Doha yesterday with Spain’s Ambassador Ignacio Escobar. Talks during the meeting dealt with co-operation.

Qatar, Kyrgyzstan sign agreement

Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has signed a bilateral memorandum of understanding (MoU) with its Kyrgyzstan counterpart. The MoU was signed by Saleh bin Ali al-Muhanadi, QRC Secretary General, and the Director General of the National Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan Rustam Aleyev in Bishkek. Deputy Chairperson of Kyrgyz Parliament and Qatar’s Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Mohamed Arar al-Nuaimi  attended the signing ceremony.

Turkish ship to arrive on four-day visit to Doha
Turkish frigate TCG Buyukada, which is joining the task force CTF-151 and conducting anti-piracy patrols in the Gulf of Aden and off the coast of Somalia, will arrive at the Doha port tomorrow on a four-day visit, the Turkish embassy announced yesterday. The frigate will be open to the public tomorrow from 2pm to 4pm and on Wednesday and Thursday from 9am to noon. “People living in Qatar are invited to pay a visit to the Turkish frigate,” the embassy added in a statement.
