Ooredoo will remove all advance rental charges for post-paid services with the result that its customers no longer have to pay in advance for the first time.
The new billing procedure takes effect today, Ooredoo said.
Ooredoo said, “The changes have been designed to improve the billing experience and ensure that people have a clear understanding of all their communication costs.”
The company said it will refund customers for any advanced services that have already been charged in previous bills, and restart all Mobile Internet Packs, BlackBerry and Mobile Broadband bundles for Shahry customers from today.
Customers with any “unused balance” on packs that have been terminated and restarted will be refunded the difference. Moving forward, the next bill will only reflect the charges for that month.
Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, Ooredoo director (Community & Public Relations) said, “Ooredoo has supported a wide range of customer research initiatives over the past year, and the process of listening to our customers has enabled us to identify areas for review and improvement. The post-paid billing process was a key area where we could help customers and provide clarity about what they were paying for.”
Ooredoo continues to update and refine its billing process; so that customers get the information they need in the time that they need it.
Ooredoo moved towards providing e-bills for customers back in 2011, cutting down on paper wastage and making it easier for customers to store and access to bills, and is consistently simplifying the billing process and making payments more convenient.
