The Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ictQATAR) and Qatar Assistive Technology Centre (Mada) yesterday organised an interactive festivity to celebrate Qatar National Day.

The celebrations featured a programme rich with activities that helped attendees get more familiar with the Qatari culture. This included enjoying the art of henna drawing, traditional wear, live cooking demonstrations and falconry show, in addition to serving traditional Qatari drinks and sweets.

“Qatar National Day is a special occasion for all of us and an opportunity to reconnect with the country’s heritage, as well as to celebrate today’s achievements. At the heart of everything to do, we are driven by a commitment to make a positive difference for all people in Qatar.

“Our vision is to make Qatar a better place with technology and its benefits. It is also an opportunity to express feelings of love and gratefulness to this generous country, its great people and wise leadership for what they have achieved through the years,” said Salwa al-Khal Fakhroo, Communications and Public Relations manager, ictQATAR.

Maha al-Mansoori, CEO of Mada, added: “This is a lovely day. It makes us feel more proud of our nation’s achievements. As we celebrate Qatar National Day, we are looking forward to a greater, brighter future.”

Organised at the ministry’s headquarters, the celebrations were attended by ictQATAR senior officials and all staff members sharing in the unity for the
people of Qatar.
