The Media and Awareness Department at the General Directorate of Traffic has held an awareness lecture for students of Ahmad bin Mohamed Military College.

The programme was attended by director of the General Directorate of Traffic Brig Mohamed Saad al-Kharji, commander of Ahmad bin Mohamed Military College Staff Brig Hamad Ahmad al-Noaimi, director of the Media and Awareness Department Lt Col Mohamed Radhi al-Hajiri, the Traffic Awareness Department’s Lt Abdul Wahid al-Anazi
and officials from the college.

In his speech, Brig al-Kharji emphasised the importance of obeying traffic rules and regulations to ensure road safety and reduce accidents.

While open discussions were held between traffic officials and the college students, awareness films on the importance of wearing seatbelts and the risks of jumping the red light were shown in the programme, in addition to explanations of traffic incidents and ways of prevention.

The Media and Awareness Department also organised an awareness lecture at the traffic headquarters. A number of students from Jassim bin Hamad Secondary School took part in the event.

HE the Minister of Youth and Sports Salah bin Ghanem al-Ali attended the event during his visit to the department.

The programme was also attended by Brig al-Kharji and Lt Col al-Hajiri.

Lt al-Anazi, officer at the Media and Awareness Department, gave a presentation on the functions of the Traffic Department, the risks involved in driving without a licence and regulations for those under 18, along with videos showing the importance of wearing
seatbelts.

Human development trainer Mohamed al-Anzi spoke on setting goals and how to achieve them.
