HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani offered condolences to members of the family of Total SA chairman and chief executive officer Christophe de Margerie at a funeral service held in Paris yesterday.

The funeral service was attended by French President Francois Hollande and a number of senior officials.

The Emir was accompanied by HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani and a number of Sheikhs and ministers.

 

Emir, PM greet Brazil president

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to Brazilian  President  Dilma Roussef on being re-elected for a second term.

 

National Day greetings sent

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his country’s National Day.

 

Doha hails Tunisian elections

Qatar has welcomed the Tunisian legislative elections held on Sunday. 

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry described the legislative elections as a historic step towards strengthening the democratic process and building the state institutions and law. 

The statement expressed hope that the elections would contribute to promoting national unity and maintaining security, stability and prosperity in Tunisia and meet ambitions and aspirations of the Tunisian people.

PHCC implements Seha service

Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will start using the Qatari ID as well as the health card of the nationals for its services under the  national insurance scheme Seha.

This process will start at the Airport Health Centre from today.
