Qatar Charity (QC) has built and furnished six mosques in Burkina Faso, as part of its ongoing projects for the benefit of the poorest members of society and contributing to the development of the country.

The mosques are all fitted with washrooms and wudu areas and will benefit hundreds of worshippers.

The new mosques include the Aisha Bint Abu Bakr Mosque, which was built in the village of Zanikoi in Bazigha state in the south central region of Burkina Faso. The mosque can accommodate around 150 worshippers. Fully furnished, the mosque was also provided with a set of
loudspeakers.

Another one is the Khadija Bint Khuwailed Mosque which is also fully furnished. The mosque is located in the village of Kokologo in Bolekimdy state in the west of Burkina Faso; it is able to accommodate around 200
worshippers

QC also opened the Mosque of Omar ibn al-Khattab, in the village of Bansalga in Korwego state, eastern Burkina Faso. The chairman of the Board of the Municipal Council thanked QC on its efforts in the service of the region’s population through its projects.

The Haya Hassan Amer Hamidi Mosque in the village of Togankura in Houie state was full from the moment of opening, with worshippers all appreciative of the efforts of QC and the Qatar government

In the village of Kombisara, Bazaga state, the Abu Bakr Mosque was built with a capacity to accommodate around 150 worshippers. It has a 10m
high minaret.

The sixth mosque, the Baraka Mosque, was opened in Connie village in Kinadogo state in western Burkina Faso. The mosque is topped with a 10m high minaret. It can accommodate around 200 worshipers and was built according to technical specifications designed by QC.

QC’s work in Burkina Faso continues and includes the establishment of income-generating projects, where sewing machines were provided to the Association of Wellness for Humanity in the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, and a grain mill to Zmstab la Bombofilipori Women Association
in the state of Jacovi.
