Qatar and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) yesterday signed a co-operation agreement here, under which Qatar’s university graduates and those who are starting new jobs in the institutions of the State will receive training in the Unesco’s scopes of work. 

By signing of this agreement, Qatar seeks to promote its graduates and new employees’ skills in the technical co-operation field through a two-year practical training programme in the organisation’s headquarters in Paris, in addition to its regional offices around the world. 

The agreement was signed by Ambassador Ali Zainal, Qatar’s Permanent Representative at Unesco, on behalf of  HE Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council, Chairman of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
