HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi yesterday approved the results of the first session of tests for secondary school certificate for the academic year 2013-2014.

The total number of students who gave the tests from day schools was 7,528 students and the percentage of success in these schools was 85.3 %.

From the parallel education schools (evening education) 1,020 students gave the exams with a success percentage of 17.3 %

The Minister launched the electronic link to the results of the secondary school certificate, (http://www.sec-nateeja.gov.qa) where students can get their results.

Addressing a press conference yesterday, SEC Evaluation Institute Director Khalid al-Harqan congratulated all the students who excelled in tests this year and wished them further success in their academic and career life. He also congratulated the schools that have achieved high levels of excellence.

Al-Harqan said that the general level of the result is promising and it shows a significant progress made in the education sector, pointing out that the ratios and performance levels of students have clearly risen which indicates the effort of concerned SEC organisations and departments, schools, students and their families, who have created the appropriate environment for exams.
