The recently concluded “Third Conference of Public Administration Institutes in GCC Countries” has recommended establishment of specialised centres to help discover, foster, and develop creative leaders in all the Gulf countries, according to local daily Al-Arab.

The conference also stressed the importance of developing plans for discovering and fostering creativity and talent from within the government institutions in the Gulf countries.

It also called for formation of mechanisms that would develop creative ability and promote distinguished institutional performance through training programmes for employees.

The creation of an award-giving body for distinguished performance for all GCC countries was also stressed.

The award, which aims to enhance the performance of government entities, will be based on a set of criteria to determine an employee’s performance.
