Emir approves Cabinet Decisions
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday approved  the Cabinet decision No 18 of 2014 on amending some provisions of Decision No 8 of 2010 on the setting up of Qatar Committee for Alliance of Civilisations.
The Emir also approved the Cabinet’s decision No.19 of the 2014 on reorganising the Committee for the Preparation and Review of legislative instruments of the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
The two decisions are effective from the date of their issuance and are to be published in the Official Gazette.
HH the Emir issued  Law No 6 of 2014 on organising real estate development. The law is to be enacted, and is to be published in the official Gazette.
 Law No 5 of 2014 on the National Service was also issued by the Emir yesterday. The law is effective from the date of its issuance and is to be published in the Official Gazette.


Minister returns from Oman trip
HE Minister of Administrative Development Dr Issa Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi returned to Doha yesterday from Muscat, wrapping up a visit to Oman Sultanate.
During the visit, HE al-Nuaimi met with Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said.
The minister also held talks with Omani Civil Service Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Omar al-Marhoun and a number of other Omani officials and discussed means of bolstering bilateral relations in all fields with a special emphasis on the administrative development and exchange of expertise.
HE al-Nuaimi also met on Monday Minister of Health Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, and discussed matters of mutual interest and areas of administrative co-operation in the health sector.


Al-Qahtani to attend council
Qatar is to take part in the 41th session of the Arab Health Ministers’ Council and its executive bureau meeting due to open at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters today.
HE Public Health Minister Abdullah bin Khalid al-Qahtani will lead a delegation to the meetings. The minister and his accompanying delegation yesterday left Doha for Cairo to participate in the meeting.
The Arab health ministers will discuss a wide range of topics including the health conditions of the Syrian displaced in neighbouring countries, the humanitarian and health conditions in Palestine, the Arab strategy for combating Aids and mothers’ health, polio, Arab pharmaceutics integration, the non-communicable diseases, health legislations and the Health Sciences Arabisation Center.
They will also discuss preparation for the economic and social development Arab summit due in Tunis next year, the Arab-South American states health ministers’ joint meetings due to start in Peru on April 2, the Arab-Chinese health co-operation and health conditions in Mauritania.
