Famous Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton visited the pavilions of Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen at the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition yesterday.

IWC Schaffhausen is taking part in the exhibition in partnership with Al Majed Jewellery.

Hamilton, who is the brand ambassador of IWC Schaffhausen, kicked off the brand’s activities at the exhibition by test-driving the Mercedes AMG Petronas Simulator. The simulator is on display at the IWC booth until March 2.

Karoline Huber, brand director of IWC Middle East & India, and Jamil al-Majed, vice-chairman of Al Majed Jewellery, hosted the special exclusive event with Hamilton. “IWC is proud to be present at the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition for the second time and we are extremely pleased to welcome our Friend of the Brand, Lewis Hamilton, in the region,”said Huber.

As one of the highlights of the exhibition, IWC Schaffhausen will host the Mercedes AMG Petronas Simulator, which Hamilton kicked off with a virtual race and set the fastest lap time. Until the concluding day of the exhibition, the simulator will present visitors of the Ingenieur-themed IWC booth with the exclusive opportunity to compete against Hamilton and to get as close as possible to experiencing the feeling of driving on a Formula One track.
