Open House meeting on August 1

An open house meeting will be organised at the Pakistan embassy at 5pm on August 1 to address all the issues being faced by the Pakistani community in Qatar.
Counselor Rashid Nizam said that the members of the community would also be given an opportunity to ask questions from the embassy staff regarding any of the problems they face here in Qatar.
“We invite all members of the community to be part of this event,” he said.
Further, he announced that a flag-hoisting ceremony would be held at 7pm on August 14 to mark the Independence Day of Pakistan. He invited all members of the community to be part of this ceremony.

 

QU set to receive 200 new teaching staff members


Qatar University (QU) is getting ready to receive around 200 new teaching staff members to cope with the considerable increase in its intake of students and scheduled courses, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.
Similarly, the number of new students for the upcoming academic year at QU is expected to exceed 5,000 joining more than seven colleges  around 63 different specialisations.   
QU will hold introductory meetings during August 19- 27 for the new teachers, considered among the best academics internationally and in the Arab Region, to introduce them to all the necessary information and regulations regarding the systems of QU.

Ministry of Justice evening working hours


The Ministry of Justice will start providing services to the public in the evening from today. This was announced by HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi. The evening working hours at the Real Estate Registration Department are 9pm to 11pm.
The Minister made the announcement during a visit to the new premises of the real estate registration office at Al Khor. The minister said HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani had directed the ministry’s officials to provide services to citizens and residents from a place convenient to them., especially those residing outside Doha.
