HMC in conjunction with the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs has inaugurated the Ramadan Library Tent at Hamad General Hospital (HGH).
The facility, dubbed “healing and mercy”, contains a huge collection of books and material intended for boosting awareness of the virtue of fasting, and the etiquette of visiting patients.
The tent was jointly inaugurated by HMC’s Corporate Communications Department executive director Ali Abdullah al-Khater, HMC Projects head Ezzudine Fadhl al-Salahi and Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs’ Mohamad al-Mahmoud and Fahad
al-Fuhaid.
Speaking at the event, al-Salahi stated that the tent is open to the public, day and night, throughout Ramadan. In addition to the assortment of books offered in Arabic, English, and Urdu, there are seats for those who wish to sit and read and enjoy hot drinks and dates after breakfast.
The activities at the Library Tent, which witnessed a remarkable turnout on the first day, is being overseen by the Mutawwaa Office at HGH.
