Commercial Bank has launched an “innovative proposition” exclusively tailored for expatriate professionals moving to Qatar.  
A new dedicated website, www.lifeinqatar.com, will assist expatriate professionals before arriving by providing them with consolidated comprehensive information on critical areas of their lives such as banking, education, housing, healthcare and other general information.
The service is aimed at helping new arrivals to Qatar make the transition of moving to a new country as painless as possible, Commercial Bank said.  
The move underlines the bank’s commitment to innovation, and to finding ways to welcome expatriate professionals to Qatar.
Through the new site, customers will be able to apply for a Commercial Bank account online “easily and seamlessly” before they arrive in the country.  The account is immediately available for the remittance of money from anywhere in the world, and eliminates the need to carry large amounts of cash when travelling and any worry about initial expenses when arriving in Qatar.
“This makes it easy to meet every day banking needs the day they arrive in Qatar – everything from withdrawing money and buying goods – to getting a credit card and setting up a car loan.  The customer’s debit card will be ready for them the day they arrive in Qatar,” Commercial Bank said.
In order to make the arrival in the country even easier, the bank will provide a phone and SIM card to such customers to enable them to connect with their loved ones back home and speed up the settling-in process.
For “Sadara-eligible” customers, the bank’s privileged service; among the facilities offered include personalised airport collection upon arrival in Doha.
