Qatar Airways is set to showcase the “newest and best” of its fleet with a display of five aircraft at the 2015 Paris Air Show at Le Bourget in Paris next month.
“With bespoke, highly-customised interiors, the airline’s new range of aircraft will undoubtedly be the talk of the show, in particular the Airbus A380 and A350 XWB, both of which entered service for the airline recently, with Qatar Airways receiving the A350 as global launch customer,” the airline said yesterday.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar al-Baker, said, “The five aircraft that will be on display at this year’s Paris Air Show symbolise the dynamic growth of our airline and our constant focus on world-class quality.
“Not only will we be showcasing our A350 XWB for which we are the global launch customer, but we will also have four other benchmark-setting aircraft this year, showcasing Qatar Airways’ five-star hospitality.”
The A350 XWB, which entered service in January and now flies twice-daily to Frankfurt and daily to Munich from October this year, is also being rolled out across three daily services to Singapore this summer, and will “prove popular” with aviation enthusiasts visiting the show, as Qatar Airways remains the “only airline in the world” flying this next generation aircraft.
The 517-seat A380 superjumbo, comprising first, business and economy classes over two decks, is the largest passenger jet in the world, and currently flies to Bangkok, Paris and London from Doha.
The new first-class A380 seat features a 90-inch seat pitch and transforms into a fully flat bed; it has up to 2,000 entertainment options displayed on individual 26-inch television screens.Overall, Qatar Airways will have on display at the Paris Air Show an Airbus A380, A350, A320, A319 and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
Qatar Airways’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner has a two-cabin configuration, comprising some 22 seats in business class and 232 economy class seats with a high standard of comfort on board, including individual 10.6 inch television screens for all economy class seats and a full complimentary food and beverage service.
