QIIB has appointed Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Faisal al-Thani as the bank’s head (Government Banking Services sector).
The appointment of Sheikh Abdulaziz in the senior position of the bank was in line with QIIB’s policy of nurturing and promoting Qatari talent, a bank release yesterday said.
QIIB deputy CEO Jamal al-Jamal said, “We are proud of the excellent performance of the Qatari employees at our bank. Because we are determined to provide an ideal and encouraging work environment for Qataris, both male and female, the results have started showing up in different departments of the bank, especially at the higher executive management level.
“The Qatarisation percentage at QIIB’s higher executive management level is currently very high. We are working towards extending this to all levels of the staff cadre.”
Al-Jamal hoped Sheikh Abdulaziz would add value to the new position he had been entrusted with.
Sheikh Abdulaziz holds a BA degree in business management from the North Carolina University in the US. He started his career in personal banking services in 2010.
