Al-Hammadi says the QPMC strategy is to generate long-term shareholders’ value by being responsible and a positive contributor to the realisation of the human, social, economic, and environmental development in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) has announced plans to increase its stockpile of sand and aggregate to meet the country’s demand in washed sand, the company said in a statement.
“QPMC produces washed sand and regulates sale of dune sand in Qatar and these are available for sale in the local market,” said QPMC chief executive officer Eisa al-Hammadi.
He said, “To guarantee quality, reliability, and efficiency, our strategy is to generate long-term shareholders’ value by being responsible and a positive contributor to the realisation of the human, social, economic, and environmental development in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Al-Hammadi also said the company was participating in the “18th Gulf Engineering Forum” what would be held until March 3 at the St Regis Hotel in Doha.
He said QPMC operations director Navjot Singh would be giving a presentation on the third day of the forum, which will highlight QPMC’s role in supplying quality aggregates and sand for both private and government sectors “through efficient operations of ports and logistic activities.”
“We are happy to take part in such a great conference and look forward to very sustainable and constructive outcomes from the forum,” al-Hammadi said.
Held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, and the Qatar Society of Engineers, in collaboration with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), the forum carries the theme “Infrastructure projects in the GCC.”
“This forum is held in Qatar at a time when the state is undergoing massive developmental transformation in the field of infrastructure, targeting realisation of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to provide the best infrastructure network and best standards of living,” al-Hammadi said.
The three-day forum will gather prominent personalities across GCC countries, including decision-makers, senior officials from public and private sectors, engineers from the region, as well as major consultancy firms, contracting companies, and engineering institutions.
The forum also aims to provide a platform for exchange of ideas and views of the Gulf Engineering Societies to benefit from their expertise through presenting the GCC experiences in the field of infrastructure development.
“The forum will also play an important role in boosting engineering awareness and encourage communication among engineers and their counterparts of various specialisations in the GCC states,” al-Hammadi noted.
The topics to be discussed during the forum include, transportation, green standards for infrastructure, provision of raw materials for engineering projects, provision of human resources for engineering projects, and best practices in project management.
The event will also host an engineering exhibition that brings together various engineering companies and institutions sponsoring and participating in the event.
The firms shall provide their best techniques and solution technologies to meet the challenges and obstacles in the execution of projects, showcasing their past experiences in the development of infrastructure.
