Economic zone developer and operator Manateq has announced that it will be the official Economic Zones Partner for the “2nd Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Forum” to be held on March 2 and 3 at the Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel.
Manateq CEO Fahad Rashid al-Kaabi said, “Our participation in this forum is aimed at synergising our capacities and efforts with the various partners and stakeholders in the field of entrepreneurship and SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) development in Qatar.
“It is also a major opportunity for Manateq to introduce its portfolio of economic zones and to highlight our major contribution to the development and growth of SMEs and the private sector when accommodating local startup businesses to upsize local and international investments in various fields of the economy, which will catalyse the process of knowledge transfer, business development, and jobs creation, and will eventually translate into a diversified economy.”
The forum, held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, is a collaboration between Interactive Business Network (IBN) and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
IBN CEO Raed Chehaib said, “Manateq’s support as the event’s official Economic Zones Partner is, indeed, beneficial towards the achievement of the key objectives of this forum, which includes positively contributing to the growth and development of entrepreneurship in Qatar and the Gulf.”
Manateq develops and operates the specialised economic zones and projects in Qatar. Aimed at building and managing world-class infrastructure that will facilitate growth of the private sector, al-Kaabi said Manateq plays a vital part in the realisation of the country’s overall economic growth strategy.
With the nation’s emphasis in establishing and intensifying its foundation of non-oil related industries, the development of efficient and advanced economic zones also accelerates the promotion of a competitive and diversified economy in Qatar, Manateq said.
Manateq also offers world-class infrastructure, advanced local and international connectivity and transport network, streamlined processes for business establishment, “one-stop-shop” for all establishment and operation needs, advanced customer service and support, access to equity and loan financing, and a lucrative duty-free zone offerings for foreign investments.
“Thus, in serving as a catalyst for change, Manateq is the easiest approach in resolving issues in the medium term and in facilitating the growth of private sector in Qatar,” al-Kaabi said.
