HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada will inaugurate the 5th Offshore Middle East Conference and Exhibition in Doha on January 26.

As many as 45 local and international organisations will attend the three-day event at the Qatar National Convention Centre with the theme ‘Optimising Performance’.

The event serves as a biennial forum dedicated to the advancements in the offshore industry, while addressing technological challenges associated with safe and cost effective development of oil and gas resources.

In addition to global specialists including Doosan Babcok, Widetech and N-Kom, local experts working with top organisations such as Total E&P Qatar, Qatar Shell, Qatar Petroleum, Maersk Qatar and RasGas will discuss key trends and opportunities in the petroleum industry.

More specifically, industry-tracks such as asset integrity; drilling; geology and geophysics; health, safety and environment, as well as management; production; reservoir maximisation, and subsea exploration, will be studied in detail.

Organised by PennWell Corp, Offshore Middle East has established itself as the most prominent offshore exploration and production industry event in the Gulf region, combining timely industry insight and unparalleled networking opportunities to collaborate and conduct business.
