136 Bangladeshis evacuated from Yemen
As many as 136 Bangladeshis have been further evacuated from Yemen, bringing the total number of evacuees to 496, media reported yesterday.
The foreign ministry, in a statement, said an Indian Navy ship took them to Djibouti on Thursday, bdnews24 reported.
Bangladesh is operating a repatriation control room in Djibouti led by its ambassador in Kuwait.
The ministry said the government was arranging for food, shelter and other logistics for the rescued Bangladeshis during their stay in Djibouti and they will be flown back to Dhaka on April 20 in a Biman Bangladesh Airlines special flight.
The Bangladeshis rescued earlier are on their way to Kerala by Indian ships from where they will be brought back to Dhaka by a special Biman flight.

Court grants bail to senior BNP leader
The Dhaka High Court has granted bail to Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in one of the cases in which he is accused of violence.
The bench of Justice Md Nuruzzaman and Justice Zafar Ahmed granted him a six-month bail after hearing his pleas for bail in four separate cases on Thursday, bdnews24.com reported.
It also issued notice to the deputy commissioner of Dhaka district, returnable in two weeks, asking why Alamgir should not be granted bail in the other four cases.
Three of the four cases against the senior BNP leader relate to violence and he has been accused of damaging vehicles, carrying out arson attacks and exploding handmade bombs.
Alamgir, who was arrested on January 6, earlier failed to secure bail from the trial courts, and appealed to the high court this month.

Varsity molesters being hunted from video clips
Investigators in Bangladesh are trying to identify from video footages the group of men who sexually assaulted women on Dhaka University campus during Bengali New Year celebrations.
The incident sparked widespread protests the capital city.
Police and the university authorities have appealed to all for information on the incident, bdnews24.com reported.
Police have filed a case against unidentified people.
The Dhaka High Court, taking the cognizance of the incident on its own, ordered the Dhaka University vice chancellor and inspector general of police to file a report on the measures taken after the incident.
On April 14, a group of youth sexually harassed women in public during the Pohela Baishakh festivities on the university campus.
