The office-bearers of PPFQ with ambassador Khanzada
The Pakistan Professionals Forum Qatar (PPFQ) was launched at the embassy under the patronage of ambassador Mohamed Sarfaraz A Khanzada in the largest-ever gathering of Pakistani professionals in the country.
PPFQ chairman Dr Mazhar Monga said the new forum will seek to promote solidarity and networking among professionals of Pakistan origin in Qatar. 
“We will work to enhance cross-cultural, professional and academic ties between Pakistan and Qatar,” he said.
PPFQ intends to bring together dedicated people who have serious interest in developing and promoting the activities of Pakistani professionals.
“Our members will be made up of professionals pursuing or who have established careers in the areas of academia, journalism, law, engineering, medicine, banking and IT,” Monga said.
Lauding the forum, ambassador Khanzada said the PPFQ, representing the most educated among the Pakistan community in Qatar, should reach out to the community at large and assist them in education and career guidance to become productive residents.
He also emphasised the need for Pakistani professionals to lend their expertise to Pakistani schools and create awareness of Pakistani culture in Qatari citizens.
Pakistan Engineer Forum (PEF) president Badar Sohail Khan, who was instrumental in forming PPFQ, expressed his confidence in the capability of the elected team.
PEF vice president Raheel Khan was the master of ceremony.
The other officials of PPFQ are: president - Adnan Kirmani; secretary general - Shabber Ali; vice presidents - Tariq Jilani (operations), Mujeeb-ur-Rehman (media affairs), Sheraz Malik (finance and treasury), Saad Awan (resource and development), Haroon Malik (IT and communication), Nadeem Shakir (engineering and technology), Zuhair Naqvi (business community), Dr Arshad and Dr Aftab Zia (medical practitioners), Raheel I Khan (banking and insurance), Prof Mukeem (academia and journalism), Aamir Gul (hospitality and services) and Omar Mahmood (accountancy).
